We’ve been working with our distributors in Finland for over fifteen years, and have a great relationship with them. We love the thought of our delicious teas heading up towards the Arctic Circle to warm up our Nordic friends! We recently sent Fran over to Helsinki, and here’s how she got on:

Lianne Marie Cooks with Tea!

TIMG_0135his month we’re all about getting creative, and guest blogger Lianne Marie certainly knows all about that! From 2011 she has run the blog Everything Goes With Toast, making surprising meals out of things anyone might have in their fridge, and giving classic recipes a modern twist.

She believes in cooking to taste, using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients rather than forced or artificially ripened produce or processed foods, and believe that if you don’t like something then chances are it just hasn’t been prepared well. You can scroll through all her wonderful recipes by selecting a specific ingredient, be that capers or champagne, Wendsleydale or walnuts.

Below are some recipes magicked up by Lianne, featuring our fuso tea tents range!

Fruit infusions to flirt with…

IMG_0267We strive to always bring our Clipper drinkers the best blends and flavour combinations, packaged in the most beautiful designs.  Sometimes, however, we need help.  And who better to ask than our drinkers!!  So we did…

When we spoke to you, many of you were buying infusions from various brands as you wanted to experiment with different flavours.  However, when you didn’t like one of them you were stuck with it!  You wouldn’t drink it because you didn’t like it, but you didn’t want to throw it away as it was such a waste of money – sometimes up to £4!  So it sat in your cupboard, nearly 20 teabags, untouched for months – go on, check your cupboard, we bet you find an unloved tea in there! Green Tea Tales from the Tea Guys…

India 2010 358

Our tea guys Dan and James are pretty amazing at all things tea, and we love listening to their stories of their travels to the tea gardens, as well as hearing about all the growers and local people they meet. But we have to admit, our eyes turned the same shade as our green tea when they sat us down to tell us of tails of their recent trip. Read More

Our River Cottage Tea Party Winners!

We had a very exciting day down on the farm at River Cottage last Friday with our Tea Cup Carousel winners from September.  We donned our wellies and cagoules and started off our afternoon with Dan who looks after all the lovely animals on the farm.  We met a rather sleepy flock of sheep and their lambs and, quite frankly, a very lazy ram who was more interested in grazing than getting lucky!!  I think it’s fair to say that it was the pigs who stole our hearts, squelching around in their muddy pen.
