Teabags. One of those everyday items you probably haven’t given a lot of thought to, but to the tea-obsessed team at Clipper they are one interesting subject.
Here at Clipper, we believe it’s what’s on the inside that counts, which is why we put so much effort into sourcing the most delicious, ethical tea out there. Our Tea Guys, Dan and James, travel the globe, visiting tea gardens and meeting our suppliers so we can be sure that what we put in our tea bags is the best it can possibly be. So if we’ve gone through all that effort to bring the best teas on the planet back to our little factory in the heart
of Dorset, you better believe we’re going to package them up in a tea bag which we’ve given a lot of thought to, something which reflects our tea-crazy ethos.
Clipper have been using unbleached bags for a very long time. Bleaching tea bag paper to a bright white is just one extra, unnecessary process, and we’re proud to avoid it wherever we can. You only see your tea bag as it makes the short journey from cupboard to cup, so does it really need to be a pearly white? As it makes absolutely no difference to the taste, our answer has always been ‘no’!
