Green Tea

Green tea is also from the Camellia Sinensis, the same plant used to make black tea; only the fermentation or oxidisation process is much more gentle.

We were one of the first to bring green tea to UK supermarkets, and we’ve been perfecting it ever since. Our Tea Guys, Dan and James, travel the globe, working with our producer partners, to make our tea exceptional.

Our green tea is all Fairtrade, so you can be sure that the people growing it get paid a fair price. The Fairtrade premium we pay is spent on many important projects, such as building  medical hospitals and schools.

People say all sorts of things about the benefits of green tea and at Clipper, we know it won’t make us live forever, but it does make us feel good inside and out!

Tasting notes

We select our green teas to make a superior, light and delicate cup of exceptional clarity.

Green tea can often have a smokiness to the taste due to the production process, so we only work with trusted estates to buy our green tea. We often use southern Indian, green tea as this delivers the delicately subtle taste and the characteristic Clipper clarity.
