De-Stress Your Life And Feel Happy
With life whizzing by and the daily to-do list stacking up, it’s no wonder that so many of us become stressed so easily. There are lots of different factors that can cause stress but it tends to derive from the demands of work and family problems. Stress can have major negative effects on our health, such as high blood pressure and disturb your emotional wellbeing. It’s therefore vital that we know how to relax and here are some simple ideas on how to de-stress and feel happy.
Write a love list
It’s nice to be reminded about the things that you love and enjoy, especially when you are feeling upset or stressed out. Saving your love list on your phone, tablet or laptop means that you can always have a reference to the things that make you happy. The list doesn’t have to be full of extravagant life events either it can be full of ordinary things like your favourite chocolate bar or nail polish.
Thinking of happier times
Reminiscing with your family or friends over old photographs and remembering those joyful moments is a great way to feel happy. They do say that ‘laughter is the best medicine’ and generally we all feel better after a good laugh and a joke.
Get some fresh air
Believe it or not, something as simple as fresh air can do you the world of good and it’s free. Taking a break from a stressful day at work by going for a walk on your lunch break and getting your head out of your computer can be highly beneficial and you will really notice the difference it makes to your stress levels and general wellbeing.
Make time for tea
Finding a spare 10 minutes in the afternoon or before you go to bed for a big mug of tea is a very easy way to feel calm and relaxed. Herbal or green tea tends to be my first choice as I find that it has a soothing effect that can wash away the daily stresses.
Sing and dance
Having a dance around the kitchen or a sing-a-long at the top of your voice to your favourite music can really put you in a good mood. The movement from the dancing can make you feel awake and energized and who doesn’t love singing to their favourite songs.
