Natural Beauty: 10 Organic Products That Could Work Wonders in Your Skincare Routine
It’s Organic September, yippee! And here at Clipper Teas we love championing organic products. We have plenty of Fairtrade, organic teas in our collection!
To celebrate this special time of year we wanted to find 10 organic products that could supercharge your beauty regime…
Avocado
Avocados aren’t only a tasty snack, but they’re a great addition to your natural skin-care routine! They’re packed with nutrients and antioxidants and can help to protect your skin. Because of their fat content they’re also a great way to treat lines and signs of ageing. Who knew?
Brown Sugar
It might sound strange but brown sugar can make an excellent exfoliator – especially for your legs! Not only is it a natural product which is kind to your skin, but it’s cheaper than most shop-bought exfoliators. Win.
Coconut Oil
If you haven’t heard of coconut oil, where you have been hiding? This versatile oil has boomed in popularity recently, with fitness enthusiasts all over the country shouting about its health benefits. But did you know this superfood can make a great addition to your beauty cupboard too? It’s moisturising and has plenty of vitamins and minerals in it, so it’s a great treat for your face and hair.
Green Tea
Well, obviously we love green tea. But as well as drinking it, did you know you can use it as part of a beauty routine too? When you next make a brew consider using the water to make a toner. Simply add a few drops of essential oil and you’re ready to go (don’t use boiling water…for obvious reasons). You can always mix up the flavour too, we have plenty of organic green teas to try!
Lemon
The list of how you can use lemons as a beauty product seems endless! Some of our favourites include using lemon juice to lighten the skin on your elbows and knees and using lemon juice as a teeth whitener.
Cucumber
Cucumber has been used to reduce puffy eyes for years. Its cooling effect means it’s a great way to reduce bags and soften the skin.
Aloe Vera
Anything that’s known as the ‘plant of immortality’ must be good for the skin, right? Well aloe vera is apparently full to the brim with nutrients and amino acids which helps to give your skin a lasting glow – sounds delightful. If you fancy trying green tea alongside this magical plant why not try our Organic Fairtrade Green Tea with Citrus and Aloe Vera?
Honey
A sweet treat for the skin, honey can help fight bacteria and help to moisturise your skin too. Raw, organic honey has plenty of benefits including enzymes that help to clear your pores and antioxidants which help to hydrate your skin.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Vinegar in your hair? Yep, apparently it can work wonders on your roots. The acidity of apple cider vinegar means it helps to keep the PH balance of your hair level which, in a nutshell, means it doesn’t strip your hair of its natural oils. So next time you’re in the shower consider swapping out your standard shampoo.
Almond Oil
If smooth skin is what you’re after then you might want to add this to your daily routine. Almond oil is full of vitamins and can help to moisturise the skin as well as keep pores clear. Apparently one of the biggest benefits of using almond oil in your skin-care regime is that it can help to reduce dark circles – so no need to worry about late nights if you’ve got this in your beauty cabinet!
